Kylian Mbappe’s Unstoppable Streak – Celebrating 4 Years As Ligue 1’s Best Player

Kylian Mbappe is making history with each passing day. On Sunday, the French forward became the first player ever to win Ligue 1 Player of the Year four times in a row. His accolades are made even more impressive considering that he has achieved this record while playing for Paris Saint-Germain, one of Europe’s top football clubs.

Mbappe has been an integral part of PSG since joining them from Monaco in 2017. His combination of lightning pace, unwavering confidence and clinical finishing has seen him score over 100 goals in all competitions for the club and become their most valuable asset. This season was no different, as Mbappe scored 27 goals and contributed 17 assists as PSG stormed to their 11th title in France’s top tier division – the highest total of any club since it was founded in 1932.

The 20-year-old is also making his mark on the international stage. He helped France win the 2018 World Cup, scoring four goals and becoming only the second teenager after Pele to do so in a single tournament. He again starred for Les Bleus when they lifted the 2020 UEFA Nations League trophy earlier this year, scoring three times during their campaign and earning himself another winner’s medal.

As already mentioned, Mbappe recently won his fourth consecutive Ligue 1 Player of the Year award – an incredible feat that highlights his immense talent and consistency over recent years. To put his achievement into perspective, he surpasses club legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic who had previously held this record with three wins back-to-back between 2013 and 2015.

Mbappe’s performances have not been overlooked by fans either – just look at how his distinctive No 7 jersey continues to sell out everywhere it appears! It is clear that he is now considered one of Europe’s leading stars given all that he has achieved despite being just 24 years old; something which PSG are no doubt delighted about considering they paid €180 million for him back in 2017 – a transfer fee which at that time made him world’s second most expensive player ever behind Neymar Jr..

With such an impressive CV already built up by such a young age it will be fascinating to observe what Mbappe does next as he looks set to go down as one of football’s greatest players when all is said and done.
